It’s official — I earned my 14-hour certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the USF Muma College of Business.
I was blessed to get a job right away where I can put it to work, as I landed a job at a digital marketing agency where we hold a DE&I meeting every week!
The biggest thing I learned in this DE&I course is that we are NEVER done learning about DE&I.
I’m a Boston University alumni, but I’d definitely look into future classes at USF’s Muma College of Business either in-person or online. The college brought in top talent from Fortune 500 companies as well as NFL football coach Tony Dungy. I was very impressed with Dr. Jennifer Arnold (though I’d never watched her show on TLC). But I think my favorite was Jenny Lay-Flurrie from Microsoft. She was so relatable with her stories of her own disabilities apart from her job at Microsoft working in accessibility.
