Radio Career

Country morning aircheck

My last radio job was doing news at KFDI from October 2017-January 2020. KFDI promoted me to morning anchor/reporter in July 2019. Unfortunately, this was a part-time job, which I left to go to KAKE News full-time as a newscast producer.

I’ve worked in rock, classic rock, AAA/AC, CHR, and Urban formats as an on-air personality. While I was 99.9% news at KFDI, we did highlight my on-air personality skills once in a while for the morning show. I kill at trivia as long as it’s music or pop culture. Ask me anything outside that…well, you get this:

My radio career has taken me to some pretty cool places.

It’s also taken me back to writing again and again. Radio made me want to get into journalism — any kind of journalism and storytelling. My love of both led me to KFDI-FM in Wichita, Kansas in 2017, where I joined the stellar Murrow and KAB-Award Winning news team. We are also the best station in the area for severe weather coverage!

You can hear me on Friday and Saturday nights on 101.3-FM, Wichita, where I deliver news reports at the “top of the hour,” (as we say in radio). Our news is on your Alexa too!

Radio Airchecks

I’ve been in radio since 1998. Since then, I have worked in the San Francisco Bay Area, Phoenix, and Wichita.

You can listen to my air checks on my SoundCloud page.
